Destructive Sunshine

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 08:15:22 GMT

Destructive Sunshine?!….Such a preposterous title for a blog!Hear me out! I like sunshine just as much as the next weather guesser but that’s what we had today and will likely have it again tomorrow! So what exactly is destructive sunshine? Well, it typically occurs in the spring season when you have leftover cold pockets of air (associated with a storm) up high in the sky. When these cold pockets of air drift overhead while the sun is out (like this morning) you’ll see destructive sunshine go to work. Check out the visible satellite imagery around 9am …Sunshine in metro Boston. As the sun started heating up the ground, the warm air begins to rise and bump into the cold pocket of air upstairs. That process leads to the creation of clouds and by midday-afternoon, clouds were everywhere across the region (sans the Cape/Islands)So…the strong April sunshine helps to create the clouds out there today…hence, destructive sunshine! I think it’ll hap...

Clarity with Giannis Antetokounmpo will not come until Wednesday’s game day against the Miami Heat, with the Milwaukee Bucks All-Star forward not practicing Tuesday due to a lower-back contusion sustained Sunday.Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer expressed optimism Tuesday about a return by Antetokounmpo in Wednesday night’s 9 p.m. Game 2 of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference playoff series. The Heat won Sunday’s series opener 130-117 at Fiserv Forum, with Antetokounmpo playing just 10:50 after taking a hard first-quarter tumble on a blocking foul by Heat forward Kevin Love.“We have 24-plus hours before game time, so he’ll get treatment,” Budenholzer said Tuesday. “And we’ll see how he feels. I think there has been a lot of progress and hopefully there’s more in the next day or so.”The expectation appears to be that Antetokounmpo will be back.“I mean, I think if I’m being honest, I think there is an optimism,”...

The skull was set up next to the auctioneer’s podium throughout.“It could be that it was a composite — that could be why the purists didn’t go for it,” Karl Green, the auction house’s marketing director, said by phone. “It’s a fair price for the dino. Column: Made up rape story or not, David Choe’s remarks were public long before ‘Beef.’ Our silence on them is deafening.

Nina Metz | Chicago TribuneThe Netflix TV series “Beef” stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun as strangers who become locked in an unwinnable battle to destroy one another’s lives after a road rage encounter. I admire the show more than I like it — it pinged all my anxiety receptors — but I liked it enough to give the show three stars.I might have written something different had I known what I know now.David Choe has a supporting role in “Beef,” playing the cousin to Yeun’s character — he’s a bad influence recently out of prison and looking to set up his next scam.On Twitter, a few days after the show premiered, investigative journalist Aura Bogado resurfaced a podcast clip from 2014 featuring Choe gleefully boasting to his co-hosts about committing rape while getting a professional massage. The story is graphic and disturbing, and involves Choe committing a sex act in front of a masseuse and then forcing her into a sex act.I was unaware of this until last week. Lies have consequences,” Dominion lawyer Justin Nelson said in a news conference outside the courthouse after a judge announced the deal.Dominion had asked for $1.6 billion in arguing that Fox had damaged its reputation by helping peddle phony conspiracy theories about its equipment switching votes from former President Donald Trump to Democrat Joe Biden. Fox said the amount greatly overstated the value of the Colorado-based company. The resolution in Delaware Superior Court follows a recent ruling by Judge Eric Davis in which he allowed the case to go to trial while emphasizing it was “...
