AUSTIN (KXAN) -- An H-E-B shopper topped off their 2023 in arguably the best way possible over the weekend after buying a winning lottery ticket. The ticket made its buyer $34 million richer. It was sold at the H-E-B on Village Center Drive, according to the Texas Lottery website. It matched all six winning numbers drawn on Dec. 30, which were: 6, 7, 23, 34, 37, 50. Almost 2,000 Texans have won more than $1 million in state lottery history The winner opted for a cash value option, the website said, which means they took home one lump sum cash prize rather than several payments. In the last month, two other winning lottery tickets worth more than $1 million have been claimed in Austin. COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Averill Park man was arrested for allegedly operating a stretch limousine illegally. The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) said Daniel Garhartt was arrested on December 29 outside the Albany International Airport. DMV said Garhartt, who owns Classic Transportation Service, was operating the limo in a for-hire capacity, even though the limo was registered for personal use only. He was allegedly trying to use the limo to drive around passengers.According to DMV, Garhartt is accused of submitting paperwork for a 2005 Cadillac which he said was not being used in a for-hire capacity and thus did not require for-hire auto insurance. ST. LOUIS – A man is fighting for his life Tuesday morning. Police say two men brutally attacked the victim, leaving him unconscious. Investigators say afterwards, the suspects struck the victim with a bottle, cut him, and urinated on him.The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department announced two arrests in the investigation Tuesday afternoon. Branden Leachman, 20, and Nathan Kehn, 18, are now in custody. Police say warrants will be applied for at the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office. The assault happened at the intersection of Jefferson and Delmar, just before 9:30 p.m. That's in northeast midtown, right on the cusp of the Jeff-Vander-Lou and Carr Square neighborhoods. It's within 500 feet of the Scott Joplin House and not far from KIPP St. Louis High School.There are also several businesses in the area. ST. LOUIS - A St. Louis woman is behind bars after she allegedly fired shots at a St. Louis County post office Tuesday morning. Marlisha Gatewood, 36, is accused of firing shots around 7 a.m. Tuesday at the United States Postal Office building at 9810 Halls Ferry Road. Local couple celebrates 80th wedding anniversary According to a probable cause statement, St. Louis County police responded to a report of shots fired and found Gatewood outside the building. She reportedly told officers that she left a gun on the sidewalk. Investigators noticed a "circular defect" in one of the post office windows that looked consistent with a gunshot. LOUIS - Authorities found a man deceased Tuesday morning in north St. Louis County while searching for a suspicious vehicle.St. Louis County police say the victim was found dead in a car parked near Edgefield Drive and Hollis Drive. An autopsy determined that the victim died from a gunshot wound. Authorities have not yet determined what led up to his death. Police have not disclosed the victim's identity or age. Mike Parson has issued an executive order pertaining to foreign-owned farmland in Missouri.The order bans individuals and businesses from nations designated as "foreign adversaries" from purchasing agricultural land within a 10-mile radius of critical military facilities in the State of Missouri. "With heightened concerns regarding ownership of Missouri farm land by foreign adversaries, especially China, we are signing this order to safeguard our military and intelligence assets, prevent security threats to our state, and give Missourians greater peace of mind," said Gov.
