Single-Vehicle Crash near Russell Road Leaves One Man DeadLAS VEGAS, NV (July 13, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a man died in a solo-car crash on Interstate 15 southbound of Russell Road.The accident happened around 3:25 p.m. on Intestate 15 southbound near Russell Road.According to reports, the incident involved a single vehicle, a blue Mazda, which was traveling southbound on the Interstate. The driver failed to maintain its marked travel lane and veered into the right-side rock shoulder.The adult male driver died in the solo-car crash on Interstate 15. Pedestrian Collision on South Desert Inn Left Motorcyclist HurtLAS VEGAS, NV (July 13, 2023) – On Thursday evening, a motorcyclist was hospitalized after a pedestrian crash on Rainbow Boulevard.The incident happened on May 12th at around 6:40 p.m. at Rainbow and South Desert Inn.According to the reports, the motorcyclist was hit by the van pulling out of business on southbound Rainbow Blvd, south of Desert Inn Rd. It is expected to be the first day of the intense part of the heat wave that for much of the region is expected to peak on Saturday.The air-quality forecast earlier in the week did not indicate dirty air.“We anticipated the the possibility of unhealthy conditions coming later in the week due to the increasing temperatures,” air district spokeswoman Tina Landis said. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The "overwhelming majority" of the 115 people recently arrested for public drug use in San Francisco are not residents of the city, according to SF Mayor London Breed. None of those arrested accepted services upon release, Breed added in a lengthy tweet thread about drug enforcement in the city.Arrests for drug dealing in the Tenderloin and South of Market have doubled in the past two weeks, Breed said, resulting in the seizure of "alarming levels of fentanyl."
