1 person injured after tree falls in Calabasas High School parking lot

At least one person was injured and taken to the hospital after a massive tree came down at Calabasas High School Wednesday night.  Crews with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received calls about the downed tree in the performing arts center parking lot, located at 22855 Mulholland Highway, at around 6:47 p.m. Aerial footage from Sky5 showed first responders on the scene, where at least four cars were struck by the tree.  A large tree fell in the parking lot of Calabasas H.S. Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in San Jose hit-and-run

SAN JOSE – A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night in San Jose, police said.The collision was reported just before 6:30 p.m. near 10th and East Santa Clara streets, according to the San Jose Police Department. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital.East Santa Clara Street was closed to all traffic between 10th and 11 streets, police said.Additional details about the crash, including a description of the vehicle, were not immediately available Wednesday night.Units are on scene for a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian in the area of 10th St and East Santa Clara St. The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. PETALUMA, Calif. (KRON) -- The driver linked to a hit-and-run on March 16 is being sought after by police, the Petaluma Police Department said Wednesday in a Nixle alert. 3 arrested at Vallejo DUI crash scene

(KRON) -- Vallejo police officers were investigating a suspected DUI crash scene when a drunk passenger became aggressive and grabbed an officer's gun, according to police. The crash happened on March 19 when a Toyota Camry driver drove the wrong way on Curtola Parkway, lost control, knocked over a tree, and collided into a pole. Police received multiple 911 calls and responded to the scene. All four people who were inside the Toyota appeared to be intoxicated, police said. "One of the passengers was a female who became belligerent with officers while throwing up outside the vehicle. The female suddenly lunged at one of our officers," the Vallejo Police Department wrote. The officer shoved the woman's hand off the gun. As the woman was being arrested, another drunk passenger also became aggressive, VPD said.
